Belvidere Lifts were awarded the contract by Bermo Construction to design, specify, install and commission a new passenger lift within a steel structure.

Belvidere were awarded the contract to remove the existing old obsolete passenger lift and supply and fit a new passenger lift within a steel structure supplied by Belvidere.

Belvidere removed the existing lift then the building contractors carried out the alterations to the lift shaft to enable Belvidere to construct the new self-supporting steel structure. The new lift was then fitted and commissioned

The installation on this prestigious project required a unique lift fitting externally next to the Historic Shrewsbury Town Walls which date back to Saxon times.

The new external platform lift included energy efficient motor, LED lighting, automatic operating glazed doors, an autodial telephone for total peace of mind in the event of an emergency The client was extremely happy with the overall project and can now access all areas of their home again, including the wonderful Town Walls.

This is an old water tower which we believe was owned originally by Severn Trent but never actually commissioned or used as a water tower. It has been left derelict and unused for many years. It was bought approx. 4 years ago by local business man and current owner Vince Jones from AV Birch Ltd Engineering Bridgnorth.

Vince could see the potential and vision is this “Grand design” to turn it into his new home.

Belvidere Lifts were appointed in 2018 to design, install and commission a new bespoke passenger lift to travel from the ground level to the upper two levels travelling a distance of 13500mm and travelling at a speed of 0.63M/S. As Vince is an engineer, the idea was to be able to see as much of the lift workings as possible and also as the lift is housed in a glass lift shaft, the views are breath taking as you travel to the floors.

Belvidere delivered the unique project on time, on budget and the results are spectacular. The property is a unique structure, which all parties are very proud of and now we have a passenger lift that matches and adds to this grand design.

The installation of the Platform to enable safe and convenient access to the centre. The New Platform lift specification included a bespoke weather proof glazed enclosure, with automatic door openers, an intercom system for the means of communication and key locking to restrict unauthorised access.

The lift is designed and perfect for use by the less abled. The client was extremely happy with the External platform lift and the improved access to the centre.

The installation of the lift into this exclusive development in the centre of Cheltenham required in depth collaboration with the architects and the building contractor. Due to the penthouses occupying two new floors on top of an existing building, a firefighting lift was specified.

As such the cabin needed to be both practical and elegant and was supplied with a stunning black glass interior, mirrors and satin stainless-steel finish. Glass increases the sensation of luminosity ensuring the harmony with the architectural style.

Belvidere have enjoyed a long partnership with the shopping centre lasting over 20 years.

Belvidere were chosen to install two new robust lifts on the recent completion of the £55 million redevelopments of the Fashion Quarter, which included new stores and moving existing stores into bigger premises. A rebrand from the Telford Shopping Centre to the Telford Centre was also included.

Belvidere have enjoyed a long partnership with Mitie and the Welsh Government in Cardiff dating back to 2007. Belvidere were chosen to replace two existing old, unreliable hydraulic lifts with new modern up to date Eco lifts via a tendering process overseen by lift consultants.The project extended over a 12 week period and was completed on time and budget for the busy car park lifts. The lifts were signed off by the consultant and handed over to a satisfied customer.
